So I know that most of you are hurting.
I know that life isn’t the same.
But I promise that “Useless Friday Info” will return this week.
We just took the week off for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that brings along its share of special foods.
It seems that Thaksgiving is just one of those days when people take the time to prepare a very special dish that they are unwilling to prepare any other time of the year.
And all of us have a favorite……don’t we?
What is something that you could say is your “Thanksgiving” favorite?

So it got it’s name because it was the day that most retailers went from being in the red to actually making money and now finding themselves in the black.
For many of us, it’s just a big shopping day!
Where will you be doing most of your “black Friday” shopping?

While I am writing this I am watching the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” and I’m also cooking my second turkey in less than twenty-four hours.
Last night we started our holiday with some friends and family and today we will be doing it all over again.
I have lots to be thankful for. I’m thankful that I get to lead a church that things about others more than we thank about ourselves. I’m thankful that I have a family that supports what God has called me to do. And most of all I am thankful for you guys that God has sent my way. Thankful that in some small or big way our paths have crossed.
Take the time to day and leave me a message of something your thankful for. You can do it as a comment on this post or on the post before this one.
Have a great “Thanksgiving Day”!

This is the time of year that everyone should be thankful.
Just the simple fact that we’re celebrating “thanksgiving” pretty much says it all.
I’ve got lots to be thankful for and I know you do too.
Today I want everyone who stops by the blog to stop and think about something that you are thankful for. Once you’ve come up with that one thing, then take a minute to let us know what it is by putting it in the comments section.
Have a great “Thanksgiving”!

Sunday at Crossroads was another good day.
We continued our current series “Epoh” with a look at how we can have “hope” even when our circumstances change. Every now and then a series comes along that has a major impact in the lives of people and this has been one of those series.
Here are a few things that I remember from Sunday:
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great “thanksgiving” week!

Today I’m continuing an amazing series at Crossroads.
One of the things that I love about what I do is watching God use people. It happens all the way from our host teams right up to our musicians and I love watching God use these teaching series to change and encourage his people.
We’re in a groove and loving it……

Friday was one more day for the record books.
I was at the church doing some cleaning when my phone rang. It was my wife. Here is what she said. “Randy come quick, Alex (my son) has cut the end of his nose off.” So what do you do? I went quickly. I went to where Alex was and for sure, he had cut the end of his nose off. He had picked up a pair of brand new hedge trimmers and when he did he only had them by one handle and they flipped and struck him in the face, cutting off the end of his nose.
So when I arrived to pick him up to take him to the “ER” the end of his nose was in a bowl…..yes, I said a bowl.
Well long story short, my wife and daughter finally took him to Centennial Medical where around noon they were able to sew the end of his nose back where it belonged.
That was my Friday…….what was your Friday like?
