What's Kicking Chicken?

Sunday Rewind

Well the “Split Screen” series has come and gone and it doesn’t seem like it lasted seven weeks but it did.  It’s been great hearing from you guys about how this particular series has had an impact in your lives.  If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it several times……as long as I am speaking from the issues of my life then I guess I can’t go wrong.  I truly do belive that this series is going to play a big role in where we are about to go as a church.  I think all to many times the church talks about stuff but never deals with its own stuff.  This series has been about those of us who are Christians dealing with the mess that we have in our lives.  It’s been refreshing to see many of you dealing with God and your “sin” issues.

Yesterday was another amazing day and I’m glad that many of you are getting back from “fall break”".  You can rest assured that the next couple of months are going to be chock full of great things that are going to be happening.

Here are a few things from Sunday that stood out in my mind:

  • Could the day have been any better in the weather department?  It was absolutely beautiful!
  • We had a house full of visitors I was told….sometimes I don’t get to see everyone and that’s one of the things that I really wish I could change.
  • Patrick and his “host team” did a great job!
  • You guys did great with the invites….we have a few left and we are going to try to get rid of those next Sunday.
  • We gave some more information about the third service….be looking and listening for more details.  You should check out CrossWave this week so that you can catch the info!
  • It’s great seeing your excitment about what’s taking place at Crossroads…..please remember that your excitment is “contagious”!

That’s about all for now…..be checking back this week for more!

Thought?

I was talking with one of the guys in the office this past week and I made the simple statement that it seems that most people put Jesus “in the back seat”.

What I really meant was that it seems that as we live our lives we really don’t want him to interfere with us unless we need him.  And if we need him, we will let him know.

Have you been guilty of putting Jesus “in the back seat”?
