“Two on Tuesday”

Ok, so its time for me to unleash upon you my  two biggest disappointments for this fine Tuesday and let me tell you that one of them is a “big” disappointment!

So here you go…..

• Took some time to head to one of my favorite restaurants for lunch with a couple friends.  When I was finishing up I looked to my left to see a water bug laying on his back and kicking his legs.  That was not good……was the food that bad?
• Stopped by to put some air in my tire at the local tire store……needless to say, no one wanted to help me.  But I did what I had to do and they were glad to help.

Sunday Rewind

So often on Sunday I have a really good indication on what I think the day is going to look like.  But this Sunday I really couldn’t get a grip on what we would end up with.  The reason for this was simply because I knew we had lots of people who were doing different things because of the fall break.  It’s amazing how something as simple as a break in the school schedule can have the possibility of impacting what happens at church.  But it does.

Needless to say, my expectations were some what lower than they normally would be and you guys once again blew me away!  It wasn’t like we had a record crowd but it was very strong in both services. 

For those of you that have missed the last couple of weeks due to being out of town, I would strongly urge you to catch up on this message series by listening on-line. 

Here are a few things that stood out for me on Sunday:

• Lots and lots of regulars gone….you guys must be really blessed in your finances to be taking all of these trips!  Good for you!
• People are really commenting about the new entrance off of North Greenwood and how much easier it makes it to get into our parking lot.
• We actually had someone flip one of our greeters off!  I think you know what I mean!
• People are excited about what God is doing at Crossroads!
• I’m continue to really appreciate the job our “host teams” are doing.
• We made a big announcement on Sunday!
• People are visiting Crossroads because you guys are using the evite!  Have you used the evite?

More progress

This week at Crossroads is really starting off in a pretty exciting way.

On Monday the crew showed up to start on our new sidewalks.  The first phase of these will be done in time for our “Tailgate 2008″ party which happens this next Sunday.
