What a great day yesterday was at Crossroads.
I’ve said it before and I have to say it again that I am honored to work with some of the greatest people in the world and it makes my job so much fun……yes, you can have fun and be in the ministry!
What I saw happen at Crossroads on Sunday was just short of amazing! This past weekend was the first weekend of our fall break and I was totally expected attendance to tank, but was I wrong. If you were there in the second service you knew that we had people standing in the back and sitting in the floor. What an amazing problem to have! I can truly give God and you guys the credit…..you have done an amazing job of continuing to invite your friends and family. Just keep doing it!
We had several people who did go ahead and leave on the fall trips and that left us a little short in some areas with volunteering, but others helped us pull it all together. Days like Sunday are why its so important for you to be serving. You truly make the difference.
Gary Doney and his team did a great job in the area of “Host Teams” and I continue to be impressed at the positive things that I see happening in this area. If you’re not serving on a team, let me know and we can get you plugged in. It’s a great place to start!
Here are a few things I noticed from Sunday:
- Great weather
- Parking lot continues to make progress
- Lots of new faces
- People everywhere
- Phil Parkerson did a great job as he took over for Greg Norvell who was out this Sunday
- The second service was great
- I love it when someone tells me we have run out of seats
- Just an all around great day
I know many of you are reading from out of town this week and I encourage you to listen to the messages via the internet……..you don’t want to miss a week of this series!
