As I was driving in this morning I passed several large churches in our area who have massive amounts of real estate that are serving very few people.
Think about the value of those properties? Think about the difference that could and would be made if that real estate were sold and the money actually put into ministry that was really kicking some tail! Now I know some of you will say, “Well they are making a difference” and in many respects your right. But when you look at the value versus the return its really a no brain-er.
At Crossroads we lease…..we believe that it best serves us to put our money directly into ministry that makes a difference. It’s doesn’t mean that we will never own a piece of property or a building, its just that for now we need to make a difference as fast as we can without going through all the hoops of ownership.
