Almost!

It’s hard to believe that this year is almost half over.  Tomorrow is actually the end of the fifth month of 2008 and if you don’t think June will be over fast, just wait.

We have seen some amazing things happen so far this year and you guys are doing an amazing job of making sure you bring people along with you.

I want to personally urge you to make sure you are with us this Sunday at Crossroads.  The last half of this year is going to be an amazing time as we begin to put some new things in place and you need to be here this Sunday so that you have the information placed in your hands.

God has brought you here to do some amazing stuff!  I hope to see you on Sunday!

People love to go after their dreams don’t they?

I saw this week where French parachutist Michael Fournier was going to attempt to break the sky diving record by jumping from about 25 miles about the earth.  This dude has spent tons of money pursuing his dreams.

All of us have dreams.  Some of them are simple and some would require a major amount of money to fulfill.

So if money wasn’t an object today, what dream would you pursue?  What one thing would you like to accomplish before your life on this earth was over?

Don’t hold back.  What would you really love to do….?

Answered Prayer?

According to this article two men were flying their small ultra-light plane and they ran out of fuel in mid-flight.  Both men claimed to be Christians so they immediately started praying for help from God in their unfortunate situation.

They managed to land their plane on the ground just beside a sign that said, “Jesus is Lord.”

So do you think they had their prayer answered or was this just coincidence?

And speaking of prayers….what’s one of the craziest things that you’ve prayed for and then saw God actually answer your prayer?  Don’t be afraid to admit it, I have a couple myself!

Memorial Day?

I was reading an article this morning and according to the Department of Transportation, they have recorded the steepest decrease in driving ever recorded.  Now you and I both know that with gas prices rising like they have the last few weeks, we all expected this to happen eventually.

According to AAA more Americans said they were planning on driving less over this past weekend than the year before.

Taking all this into consideration I want to know what impact the climbing gas prices are having on your plans for the summer?  Did you alter you Memorial Day plans?  Do you plan on doing less this summer than last year?

Sunday Rewind…..

Ok, so why am I amazed?? 

I have said it so many times that I am constantly amazed, so why is it that I am still AMAZED!

Well I guess you would have to say it’s because God continues to absolutely rock my world.

Sunday (May 25th) was unbelievable!  You guys continue to be faithful in your attendance and in taking the time to bring people along with you.  That being said, I was so amazed at our turnout for the Memorial Day weekend….it was great!  I left totally pumped up and you guys are great.

Here are a few highlights from Sunday…

• You managed to maneuver the parking lot construction really well!
• Some volunteers were out but others stepped it up and took care of it all!
• I love Dave Barnes music.
• Dude, did it get hot or what?
• Looking forward to next Sunday already…..and I know you are too!
• Vistors…..need I say more?

Ok, so I am blogging on the holiday so I will have to hit it back later!

Stories

One of the things that I love doing is just sitting around with people and listening to them tell stories.  Most of us love that.  We love listening and we also love telling stores, different stories about the good and the not so good things that are going on in our lives.

On Friday I had lunch with a friend and it’s always interesting how the stories just start flowing.

The stories that amaze me the most right now are those stories about how God is working in the lives of people in and around our town.  Some of them go to Crossroads and some of them go to other good churches in the area….but where ever they attend really doesn’t matter.  God is still doing some amazing things.
