“Round-table Reflections Episode 1″

March 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Well as most of you know I had the opportunity to attend a round-table of church planters on Thursday at Cross Point Community Church in Nashville. This event was put together by Joe Case from Uprising Church in Bellevue and co-hosted by Pete Wilson who is the Pastor at Cross Point.

One thing you have to know is that when you get a group of church planters together anything can happen. For whatever reason it seems to me that planters are a breed unto their own. The background of those in attendance was as different as you could imagine. Those who were sitting in on this round-table were Dave Anderson, Eric Taylor, George Stull, Jonathan Ellis, David Crawford, Josh Scott, Gary Lamb, Pete Wilson, Mike Smith, Eddie Johnson, Joe Case and little ole me.

The churches that we Pastor were from the states of Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky and the great state of Alabama! Again, this was a very diverse group of guys, but some of the most genuine and good guys that I have ever had the privilege to be in a room with.

Ok….it’s Saturday and it is beautiful outside so go out and put your Speedo on and get some sun and I will get back to this later. Stay tuned and look for “Episode 2!”

Check back over the weekend and first of the week.  I will most likely make it several posts……it was that good!

Here comes the Sun!

Yes…that’s what I said.  We haven’t seen the sun this big and beautiful in days and man does it really pump me up about the weekend.  This week has been one of those mostly cold and rainy weeks when you would just rather stay in the bed with your wife!!  Except this week about everyone in my house has had a touch of all this crud that is going around.

I hope you guys are all on the mend and that we will see you at Crossroads this weekend!  The last four weeks of this series promises to be great!

More later…….
