Looking back on this year there were so many things that stand out. I am going to make a list of some of those here and they come in no particular order.
Our communion and baptism services
One year anniversary celebration
Watching people step up and serve
The “Intimacy with God” series-this one seems to have really impacted the lives of people at Crossroads
Getting to speak at WKU was a really fun gig!!
Listening to your stories about what God is doing in your lives
Crosswave-in case you don’t know it’s our podcast that we do each week. Make sure and check it out!!! (We do it for you!)
Well that’s all for now….I will probably add a few more later.
Most of you probably thought I was taking the day off didn’t you? Since we weren’t having services you thought I would just lay in the bed all morning. Well you are wrong!!
This morning I will be speaking in Nashville at a friends church and I have to say that I am really looking forward to it. They have services at 9am & 11am just like Crossroads so it is going to be a lot like being at home.
Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
Well I have to admit that I was surprised when I received a new phone for Christmas. This isn’t just any phone, this is the new Voyager from Verizon. I had been hoping that they would come out with something that would rival the I-Phone and they did. Just goes to show you that patience pays off…..
Our Christmas Eve service at Crossroads was great! It was one of the most amazing services I think we’ve had. If you missed it, then you missed it!!
Thanks to all of you who showed up and who brought your friends and family.
I just want to go ahead and throw this out there. Next year on Christmas Eve we will be doing a service that will sit you on your ear. Just be prepared and one more thing; next year you will be able to choose from several different times. Isn’t it hard to believe that I am already thinking about Christmas Eve 2008!!!!
I am the Lead Pastor for Crossroads Community Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. Crossroads is an amazing church that officially started holding services late in 2006. The views here are mine and not those of Crossroads. Some of the views that you read here are mine. The rest I just copied from people who really know what they are doing!! Ha! There’s lot’s of cooking going on this week. When you hear people talk, you usually find that they specialize in something. As for me….it’s the “turkey”. Right now I am at home and about to put “turkey” number three in the oven. Yes, you heard that right. This will be my third “turkey” this week. […]
